How can retired staff use the library?
Retired Queen's University staff are welcome to visit any campus library to consult and make use of:
- Our academic search tool, omni.
- Print and microform collections.
- There is no remote access to e-resources.
- MFDs (printing, scanning, photocopying) at no cost - just ask at an information service desk for a temporary winID.
- Scanning requires an email address - there is no USB scanning available.
- Information services.
- Reading rooms.
- Library computers.
- Requires login credentials from a service desk, unless you have an active NetID (done through Queen's IT Services).
Be sure to visit an information service desk during staffed hours to set up a retiree library account at no cost (you will need to bring a piece of ID). Please bring your retiree card to set up the account, otherwise we can issue a paper card. You will need to renew your retiree account on an annual basis with the library.
