How can alumni use the library?
Alumni are welcome to visit any campus library to consult and make use of:
- Our academic search tool, Omni.
- Alumni cannot place interlibrary loan requests through Omni.
- Physical collections.
- Requires an alumni library card.
- MFDs (printing, scanning, photocopying) at no cost - just ask at an information service desk for a temporary winID.
- Scanning requires an email address - there is no USB scanning available.
- Basic information services.
- Reading rooms.
- Library computers.
- Requires login credentials from a service desk, unless you have an active NetID.
- Alumni also have remote access to select databases with an activated NetID (done through Queen's IT Services). After you have an activated NetID, please also contact us to set up your alumni account, which will enable remote access to e-resources.
Be sure to visit an information service desk during staffed hours to set up an alumni library account at no cost (you will need to bring a piece of ID). Please bring your alumni card with you to set up the account, otherwise we can issue a paper card. Visit our Alumni & Community User Guide for more information.
