How do I print, scan, and/or photocopy?

You can print, scan, and photocopy at all library locations. Printing is done through our LibraryPrintQ system either from your own device or by using library computers. If printing from your own device, you will need to first download the print driver, Mobility Print (accessed through the Papercut portal), in order for your device to be connected with library printers. If printing from library computers, you can skip this step since LibraryPrintQ will already be an available printer option.

To add funds to your account, you will need to first add tri-colour cash in your Blackboard account. The funds are charged to your SOLUS account. Once this is done, log into Papercut and "add credit" from Blackboard. This is not done automatically so you will need to manually transfer over the desired amount to Papercut. After this, you are ready to print!

From the document you want to print, send it to the LibraryPrintQ printer option. It will ask for your NetID and password to authenticate you. Then go to the printers where you will login with that same NetID and password. From there you can release your print jobs.

Printing prices are as follows:

  • $0.09 per double-sided page, black and white
  • $0.10 per single-sided page, black and white
  • $0.40 per double-sided page, colour
  • $0.45 per single-sided page, colour

Scanning is a free service and sends the scanned document to your email. There is no USB scanning available.

If you are not a Queen's University student, staff, or faculty member, please ask us at our information desks about a guest account for computer access, printing, scanning, and photocopying.

For more information about any of these services, visit our Print, Scan, Copy page.
