Can Queen's students borrow books from other Ontario universities?
Yes! As long as you are a current Queen's University student with a student card, you can visit participating Collaborative Futures university libraries and borrow books directly from them. You can also return borrowed books to any of these locations. For example, you can return a Queen's University Library book to Carleton University Library or return a Brock University Library book to Queen's University Library because in each case both libraries are participating members of Collaborative Futures.
When searching in Omni, you will also be able to tell if one of our Collaborative Futures partner institutions has the book you are looking for - even if Queen's doesn't. This makes it easy to place a request to have the book mailed to a Queen's University Library location. The webpage Request Materials from Omni has further information about how to search and place a request for books from other libraries.
